It all started during the first lockdown in April 2020. Like most of us, I was trying to be ‘optimistic’ about the pandemic, looking after the family in pyjamas, when my four year old daughter, Allegra, asked me one day, “Mummy, don’t you have nicer pyjamas”? I was a bit surprised and bemused but to be fair, she was right. So I began to look online for some nice nightwear, only to discover that so many brands offered beautiful cotton, but for premium prices. Since my look is more of a classic ‘Mummy’ style, I then thought to myself, ‘I can do better than that’. I decided instead to offer pure high quality silk. Et voila - I now had created affordable, beautiful pure silk pyjamas. After the creation of my pyjamas became a reality, I then decided to take my dreams further and produce piped pillowcases and hair scrunches for quick school pick ups/drops offs.
It is a great feeling to look nice at home, but more importantly, to feel comfortable. My aim was to look after us Mums - We do all the heavy shifting, looking after the family, often juggling our careers too, yet so often we forget about ourselves.
Silk is a strong, lustrous fibre. It is not only anti-ageing for your skin and hair, but also keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer …And my daughter is happy too!
Based in Battersea, London, our small range of products will make a beautiful present for any mum, sister, daughter, girlfriend or female work colleague.
We have already sold out most of the first collection and our second collection is coming soon. Our main objective for the new collection is to make our pyjamas look so smart, that when you work from home you can use them as a blouse or as a smart top. Now, how cool is that!
